Handball-Bundesliga GmbH (hereinafter “HBL”) attaches great importance to data protection. The collection, processing and use of your personal data is carried out in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With this privacy policy, HBL informs about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data.

2. Scope of application
This privacy policy applies to all online offers, content, functions and services within the START7 handball manager app in the operating systems offered (iOS, Android). By using the Handball Manager App START7, you agree to the validity of these provisions.
If you decide to use the paid premium version of START7, payment will be made exclusively via the App Store or via the Play Store via in-app purchase. The respective terms and conditions of the providers apply.
3. General purposes of data processing
We use personal data for the purpose of operating the START7 handball manager app. Registration to START7 takes place via a central registration service in the form of a single sign-on solution, whereby you submit your first and last name, a valid email address and a password.
You can also upload a profile photo. To do this, the START7 app accesses the library data of your mobile device. Your mobile device will ask for access permission by default at this point. The image data on your mobile device is not stored or otherwise processed by HBL, with the exception of the profile photo that you select. Your username and profile photo can be viewed by other users with whom you compete in a manager league.
We collect access data about you when you access the app. We automatically collect information about your usage behavior and your interaction with us and register data about your mobile device.
If you create a league within the Handball Manager App START7 and/or want to invite friends to participate in this league, this may partly be done by accessing the contacts of your mobile device. By default, an access permission is requested at this point beforehand. In all cases, the contact is made directly by the user / manager to his contacts – no initial contact is made by START7. We do not store your contacts in our database at any time and have no interest in the further use of these.
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, the information you provide in the inquiry form, including the contact data you enter there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests sent to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this was requested.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
4. Google Analytics
HBL uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics generates information that enables an analysis of the use of the app. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The transmitted information contains an anonymized IP address. Due to the anonymization, it is not possible to draw conclusions about a specific person based on the IP address.
On behalf of the operator of this app, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the use of the app, compiling reports on its use and providing other services relating to the app to the operator of the app. The IP address transmitted as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
